Ready to go?

Reservations will be made through Keet, the Furry Cruise coordinator. He will be working directly with our travel agent, Maryanke, to book all attendees.

Please call to book but for your convenience, you can reach Keet by email, IM, or through the Furry Cruise LJ or Twitter, with any questions you may have.

First, make sure you have a valid US passport. You may also use an enhanced driver's license!

Once you are on the ship, you will be issued a Sea Pass which will act as your ID and credit card on the ship.
Next, please find a roommate to book with. Cabin prices are based on having two people per room. If you need help finding a roommate, check out the [LJ post] devoted to this.

To reserve a cabin, you must be at least 21 years of age. Attendees under 21 must be staying in a cabin with someone who is 21 or older. If you have special circumstances, minors or children, please contact Keet and he will advise you on how to proceed.

Now that you have your roommate and required ID, please review the Code of Conduct. By placing a deposit and joining us on the cruise, you agree to follow these general guidelines for behavior.

Code of Conduct

The Furry Cruise is a private event, but is aboard a cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. Their rules apply and any questions regarding what is and is not allowed on or to be done on the ship will be answered by the Furry Cruise host (Keet) after he discusses them with Royal Caribbean staff. We ask that you not fursuit until meeting up with the Furry Cruise host (Keet) first. After boarding, he will communicate with ship staff regarding our presence and activity. Once he has gotten the OK from the ship for us to fursuit, we request very much recommend that you not fursuit without there being at least two of our group present and preferably one person who is not in a suit (handler). Traversing the ship and operating doors, buttons, elevators and other obstacles can prove to be more difficult than normal on a cruise ship due to limited space and close quarters. In addition, we have always attracted a lot of attention and the small walkways can easily become extremely crouded. The Furry Cruise is a G-rated event and all activities and actions should remain as such. Please be mindful, in everything you do, that a large portion of the ship's two to three thousand other guests are families including every age imaginable. We have put smiles on the faces of everyone from children to adults and we want to continue doing so. Use common sense and, when in doubt, ask Keet. Fursuiting is to be onboard only due to uncertainty regarding local laws and customs; it is neither in Royal Caribbean's responsibility, nor ability to confirm or deny whether fursuiting at any port of call is permissable. Please ensure that your fursuit is fresh and clean, observe general ettiquette for public fursuit performance, etc. Most of all, relax and enjoy the cruise.

To confirm your attendance for the Furry Cruise, you must now pay a deposit to reserve your cabin by August 9th. Please call Keet at 1 (734) 340-4553 to book. Please have the following information ready:

The furry cruise was started back in 2004 as an idea by fursuit maker Latin Vixen, who thought it would be lots of fun to mix a furry event with a cruise vacation. The next year, the first Furry Cruise was held onboard Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas with about 40 attendees, fursuiters or not. Every night we would enjoy dinner together in the main dining room as a group and then hang out, enjoying the many activities on the ship or go out in fursuit around the ship and have fun while entertaining the many other passengers and the crew. During the days, things were left free and open so members of the group could make plans on their own or together. It was a huge success! Since 2005, the furry cruise has been something to look forward to annually.

Each year, the cruise has had a slightly different route and price range, allowing us to enjoy the different ships and ports of call. We have had such a great relationship with Royal Caribbean that we have stuck with them and they have extended their welcome to us each year. No matter the changes though, the basic idea has remained the same: a relaxed, friendly environment for fursuiters or non-fursuiters alike alike to come together and enjoy a furry vacation together!

A normal day at sea brings a multitude of opportunities for fun around the ship. There's live entertainment, food, activities from ice skating to rock climbing. There's no end of things to get together and enjoy and of course a staple has always been running around in fursuit before having dinner together and deciding how best to enjoy the evening. Traditionally, we've always had access to the ship's conference room to convene after dinner and also use as a headless lounge. On days at port, there's always shore cruises or just wandering around and seeing the sights of the town.
